TYPIFIED MODULAR SYSTEM OF WOODEN FOOTBRIDGES AND BRIDGES FOR LOCAL AND TERTIARY ROADS

Introduction

The purpose of the LAMO system is to carry local and tertiary roads through obstacles such as rivers, gutters, railways, approach roads etc. at places where it is possible to bed a simple wooden bridge structure either from technical or economical reasons. LAMO offers a fast and cheap solution with the possibility of choosing the structure span and three degrees of ultimate load corresponding with the needs of local transport.

The bearing structure of the modular LAMO system has been designed from basic type components and originated from cooperation of PONTEX and SANTECH CZ. The structures themselves are all-wood, reinforced by carbon CFK lamellas with necessary steel clamping components. The steel clamping and reinforcing components are impregnated with an appropriate anticorrosive preparation.

LAMO system has been designed to maximize the use of renewable materials and minimize the environmental burden that may be caused by the production, assembly and consequent use. Another positive factor of these bridges lies in natural integration into the landscape.
